3KCBWDAY3 - My Knitting Hero

Today is day three of knitting and crocheting blog week! This will be my third blog post in a row. That's got to be some kind of record for Fiber Doodles/Abigail's Crochet World! Today's topic is your knitting hero.

"Blog about someone in the fibre crafts who truly inspires you. There are not too many guidelines for this, it's really about introducing your readers to someone who they might not know who is an inspiration to you. It might be a family member or friend, or a specific designer or writer, indie dyer or another blogger. If you are writing about a knitting designer and have knitted some of her designs, don't forget to show them off."

Today I'll be blogging about Emma Jaeger from A Twisted Stitcher. :)

Emma has a couple great designs and an awesome blog (check it out!). My favorite design of hers is a tie between Viridescent and Little Bundle of Joy (I still need to make one for my iPod!).

Little Bundle of Joy
I would definitely check out her projects if you're in the mood for drooling over elegant shawls, cute amigurumi, or cozy fingerless gloves and hats. She inspired me to give a whack at cabling when I saw her Nalu Mitts. And I also plan on making some more fingerless gloves now after I saw her Blueberry Twist gloves.

She's also an amazing spinner! Some of my favorite handspuns are Brick and Mortar, Ignite and Mermaid Song.

Mermaid Song - lace weight, and two ply!

She's truly an inspiring crafter and if you haven't seen her projects before click here! Here blog is in the sidebar to the right.

Some of my favorites...

Liberty
Tortue
Shroom

Thanks for reading! :)
