Meet the Chicks

We were outside with the chicks this evening! The names are Peggy Sue (red),  Lu lu (black) and Buttercup (red) Sound a little like Princess Buttercup? ;)

When we were out there I was holding Peggy Sue, I think, and she just fell asleep in my hand. It was so cute! Their eyes look like little sunflower seeds when they close them. :)

I have Sharpie on my finger!

Uneven, Done!

I fnished spinning some of my roving for a cowl yesterday!

It's lumpy, and not all the same weight, so I think it'll turn out really cool. I can't wait to start  knitting my cowl! I guess I already have the pink one, but this one will be cool. Oh, I'd like to change my blog name, I don't really like it anymore. Any ideas? I don't really want my name in it anymore, and I still want it to be a craft blog. I'm just awful at coming up with these sort of things! :)

Uneven

I've been working on spinning my roving lately. It's going okay. I had to start over once, because it was too thick. I can't seem to get it thin enough! So I tried again, and it was still chunky. But I think I'll leave it like that and make a cozy cowl with it. :)

That's not the most satisfactory picture, but it'll have to do for now.

Chicks, Cats, and Hats

I finished my September Challenge! Not nearly as good as the others, but I like it.

We got home from vacation last night to find that Barney has gotten very big in the last two weeks! Here's some funny pictures of him this afternoon.

And last, but not least, we got three more chicks today! They're two Rhode Island Reds, and a little black one. I just forgot her breed.

Aren't they so cute?!

*Excitement*

I got roving and a drop spindle today! I love the color of it, and I can't wait to spin it. It was so hard picking just one color, but I love this one!

That turned out to be a lot of pictures!

Gone

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile! I've been on vacation since Monday morning. And we get back next Saturday. Here's where I've been so far...

And, as of today....

Washington D.C.!! It was fun, and we're going back tomorrow. I should have more pictures soon. Oh. I'll have a new pattern soon too. :)

Misty

I finished Misty the other day! All in all, it turned out pretty good! I don't usually like working in back loops, but it looks cool like that. The armholes are just a little big, but I can sew them up a little.

And I'm thinking about putting one of these little tags on, but I'm not sure which one. Which one do you think?

Versatile Blogger Award

Last month Emma (also known as E-Dreamer on Ravelry) nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award! I just forgot to blog about it. And tonight Rachael (also known as Octoberowlet on Ravelry) nominated me. Thanks you two! And now I'm supposed to post 7 interesting things about myself. Here's we go....

1. I hate every berry except strawberries. Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, are cranberries and just gross (to me). I'm sure they're just fine to anyone else, but I much rather prefer strawberries!

2. I was born on April Fools Day! I've never really been, you know, teased about it, but it's still a little weird.

3. I don't know if I would rather knit or crochet. With crocheting, it's easy to get the shape and look I want. Since I've known how to for a couple of years now. With knitting, I'm not the best. I can never get it to look like I want, so I just follow patterns.  So it's a tie.

4. I tend to listen to the same singer for a month or so, then listen to another for awhile. I never really listen to two or more at the same time. Right now it's Adele...

5. I adore Noro yarns. They're so pretty! I've never used it, but I've seen (and squished) it at my LYS. And I love it. I would love to make a messenger bag someday with it.

6.  I'm addicted to making bags. I think I have 5 or 6. I tell myself I won't make more, but then I think ''Well, I don't have a medium sized one!'' And then I make it. I plan on making another one soon. The colors will be really cool though, so I won't feel as bad.

7. I've never been in a public school. Since I'm homeshooled. Well, once. But it was just an office. It's pretty odd saying that since other kids go to school 5 times a week

And now I'm supposed to pass it along to 15 (I'm gonna shoot for 10) other blogs! These aren't in order.

5. Lindamade

I honestly don't read a ton of blogs, so please forgive me for only doing 1/3 amount. :P

Feeling Scrappy

We were cleaning the house today, and in the room-'o-yarn, we layed out all of the scrap yarn. And we have quite a bit. There's lots of leftovers from other projects from way back, that have been under the bigger balls, so we never really noticed them!

That angle kinda reminds me of a whale.

I guess they're some hole and 1/2 skeins in there, but trust me, there's some tiny balls in that blob of yarn.
