Chickens and Their Eggs

WARNING: This post is picture packed.

Spring starts next week! And you know what spring means in OK...

Flowers! Yay!

Little rollie-pollie-ollies! That's obviously not their scientific name.

And chicks! Yesterday, we picked up 6 4 day old chicks. They came in a box, through the mail. That's a pretty odd way to start off a life, huh?

Sorry these aren't the best pictures. I don't have pics of all of them yet, because the others were in their box and we only took these two out.

And on a random note, here's the egg variety we have.

In order (well, the top two pictures, that is), you have Ducky/Nugget/Charlie, Peggy Sue/Buttercup, and Rosie. The white ones range in different sizes.

Okay, NOW for some crafty goodness.

On Saturday we went to a knit/crochet/spin-in at a local sheep farm. I got a 5 oz. wool batt to spin while we there. It's really soft, and it drafts like heaven. :)
